BACKGROUND

Smartronix was founded as an engineering firm dedicated to providing specialized, effective, and efficient application of innovative technology solutions. We are a graduate of the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 8(a) program; and since 1995 have grown to a complement of approximately 470 full-time employees. Many of our employees have SECRET and TOP SECRET clearances and extensive engineering backgrounds, technical qualifications, certifications. We have developed a core business philosophy of sustained excellence through continued advancements in IT, engineering services, research and development, and program management; and our personnel possess innovative technical expertise in the development of a wide range of technological solutions.

Smartronix is headquartered in California, Maryland; has site offices in Virginia (a total of three offices, two of which are specifically located at Quantico servicing Marine Corps customers), North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and Arizona; and has personnel working throughout the United States and the Pacific Rim. In recognition of this outstanding growth, Smartronix has been selected as one of the “Fastest 50 Growing Companies in the Washington, DC Area” and the “Fastest 500 Growing Companies in the U.S.” on several occasions by the Washington Post and Inc. news media. The Company is “perfect sized” – small enough so that each of our clients receives the highest level of corporate concentration, yet large enough to provide stability and growth for our employees and significant breadth and depth of resources to our clients.

Smartronix has been appraised at CMMI Level 3 for its software development and maintenance processes. We also provide our customers with assurance of our capability to provide quality products and services through our implementation of our corporate Quality Management System (QMS), which is ISO 9001-2000 certified. Through the implementation of corporate-wide processes and procedures (based on both the CMMI and ISO 9001 standards), we believe we have demonstrated to both existing and potential customers our commitment to delivering products and services that meet or exceed their reliability and usability requirements.
