Impact Assessments/Mitigation.
Fulcrum is
focused on six major technical
areas where the benefits of new
passive sensor and information
technology can be applied:
Remote
Sensing Systems for
Surveillance, Safety, and
Security -- Remote sensing,
using automated, unattended
systems that integrate sensors
as well as communications
equipment, offers new
alternatives for achieving
higher levels of facility
security and surveillance while
reducing labor costs.
Modeling
and Simulation -- Modeling and
simulation of various
distributed test beds including
test design for a prototype
system, data collection, and
analysis. Design and test
automatic target recognition
algorithms for the purpose of
comparing performance of
statistical- and model-based
algorithms.
Signal
Processing -- Develop,
implement, test, and document
numerous advanced signal
processing algorithms and
techniques on a variety of
systems. Signal processing is an
integral component of most of
our projects including the
development of advanced
detection, classification,
localization, and tracking
algorithms for a variety of
tactical and surveillance
applications.
Transportation System --
Develop, integrate, install, and
support systems and sensors to
provide a low-cost reliable
means for monitoring the status
and safety of transportation
subsystems. Also, develop and
support systems for improving
transportation traffic safety.
Environmental Monitoring
Assessment and Mitigation --
Assess the impact of noise on
the natural environment and the
quality of life for communities
near government and industrial
facilities and develop technical
solutions to mitigate adverse
noise impacts
Material
Evaluation -- Provide new
materials for military
applications such as domes,
coating for vehicles, damping
materials, sound absorbing, and
testing. Evaluate material
properties as recommended by
ASTM standards. |
